Consent for Online Consultation
Before booking an online Ayurvedic consultation with Dr. Priyanka Kshirsagar, please read and understand the following. By completing your booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to all points below.
1. Nature of the Consultation
I understand that this is an online Ayurvedic wellness consultation. The consultation is conducted via video call and is not an in-person physical examination.
I understand that the practitioner is a qualified Ayurvedic physician (BAMS, MD Panchakarma) and not a Western-licensed medical doctor (MD/MBBS). The guidance provided is based on Ayurvedic principles and is for wellness and lifestyle support, not Western medical diagnosis or treatment.
2. Limitations of Online Consultation
I understand that an online consultation has inherent limitations compared to an in-person visit. The practitioner cannot perform a physical examination, pulse diagnosis (Nadi Pareeksha) in person, or conduct laboratory investigations. Assessments are based on the information I provide and observable indicators during the video call.
I agree to provide accurate, honest, and complete information about my health history, current symptoms, medications, and lifestyle.
3. Not an Emergency Service
I understand that this consultation is not suitable for medical emergencies. If I experience a medical emergency before, during, or after my consultation, I will contact my local emergency services immediately (e.g., 112 in India, 999 in the UK, 911 in the USA).
I will not use this service to seek guidance for acute, severe, or life-threatening conditions.
4. Continuation of Medical Treatment
I understand that I must continue any prescribed medical treatment and consult my treating physician before making any changes based on Ayurvedic guidance. I will disclose all current medications, supplements, and ongoing treatments during my consultation.
I understand that Ayurvedic guidance is complementary to — not a replacement for — conventional medical care.
5. Sharing of Health Information
I consent to sharing my health information (including symptoms, medical history, lifestyle details, and wellness goals) with the practitioner for the purpose of providing the consultation. This information will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
I understand that a summary of my intake responses may be reviewed by the practitioner before my appointment.
6. Recording Policy
Consultations are not recorded by default. If either party wishes to record the session, explicit verbal consent must be obtained from the other party before recording begins. Any recording without consent is strictly prohibited.
7. Individual Results
I understand that Ayurvedic wellness guidance does not guarantee specific health outcomes. Results vary from person to person based on constitution, lifestyle, consistency of practice, and other individual factors.
I have not been promised a cure for any condition, and no guarantee of results has been made.
8. Voluntary Participation
I confirm that I am participating in this consultation voluntarily and of my own free will. I am 18 years of age or older (or have the consent of a parent or guardian if under 18).
I understand that I may end the consultation at any time if I am uncomfortable.
